Descriptive summary

COQUELIN Aîné : CYRANO DE BERGERAC d'Edmond ROSTAND. The "Duel scene" from CYRANO DE BERGERAC by COQUELIN and Maxime DESJARDIN. Sur scène, on aperçoit une balustrade en arrière plan ainsi que des paysans placés derrière CYRANO et son partenaire. CYRANO le provoque en duel et ce dernier enlève sa courte cape qu'il confie à un des hommes derrière lui et dégaine son épée. CYRANO fait de même, il enlève aussi son chapeau et le jette derrière lui avec panache. Le duel commence tandis que CYRANO se bat avec humour tout en récitant son texte : il joue avec son épée, la lance et la rattrape habilement durant le combat. Il finit par toucher son adversaire qui lâche son épée et tombe dans les bras d'un des hommes présents. CYRANO, vainqueur, se fait applaudir par les paysans souriants.
