Fairytale. According Susan Dalton : This tale takes place near the sea. A young princess is sleeping on an embankment. While she is dreaming, the sea-spirits come from the depths and pull her down into a cave, where gnomes prepare her body to be burned. At this point the princess awakens, blinks her eyes, and then after seeing that all is well; goes back to sleep and begins to dream again. This time, she visits a fairy of the sea and then she finds a handsome prince, who whispers sweet-nothings in her ear. She awakens yet again to find the dead body of her prince.
