Description: In the staircases in front of a house, young woman scarf tied in the hair carries a small girl in her arms, other children surround it: They carry all the same deck, the first cries and greenhouse a headstock against it. Paper board: "How one heated oneself the first winter to Etretat": Outside, young woman warmly dressed fact make movements and a round to numerous children of all the ages which surround it. They carry all bonnets. Paper board: "A round around Grandfather": In the courtyard, in front of the grandfather, cap, butterfly, deck node buildings is in the centre of the round. Young man holds a dog in his arms. Paper board: "The exit of the classes": Dear Sirs, bowler hats give the hand to the children who leave their class and make hello of the hand. Bonnets. Text: Since 2 August 1914, the Association of the orphans of the war has collected, on all the territory, immediately and without formalities, all the war orphans in distress. In its family training, it returned them mummy and a hearth. FRANCE, ETRETAT. Colonie des enfants de mobilisés. Xavier PRIVAS. Descriptif : Dans les escaliers devant une maison, une jeune femme foulard noué dans les cheveux porte une petite fille dans ses bras, d'autres enfants l'entourent : Ils portent tous le même tablier, le premier pleure et serre une poupée contre lui. CARTON : " Comment on s'est chauffé le premier hiver à Etretat" : Dehors, une jeune femme chaudement vêtue fait faire des mouvements et une ronde aux nombreux enfants de tous les âges qui l'entourent. Ils portent tous des bonnets. CARTON : "Une ronde autour de Grand-père" : Dans la cour, devant les bâtiments grand-père, casquette, noeud papillon, tablier est au centre de la ronde. Un jeune homme tient un chien dans ses bras. CARTON : "La sortie des classes" : Messieurs, chapeaux melons donnent la main aux enfants qui sortent de leur classe et font bonjour de la main. Bonnets. CARTON : "Un spectacle du dimanche": Deux clowns sont sur une estrade entourés par les enfants. Saluts et applaudissements. CARTON : " Les premières cuisines en plein air" : Devant les bâtiments, une grosse cuisinière (femme) tient une petite casserole à la main, elle verse la soupe dans des grandes bassines. Un homme donne l'ordre aux jeunes qui l'entourent de distribuer le repas. CARTON : "le goûter" : Un grand panier rond est posé sur une petite table, deux femmes chaudement habillées distribuent une grosse tranche de pain aux enfants qui défilent devant elles. CARTON : "Marrons chauds" : Les enfants marchent en rang, une dame sort d'un cornet des marrons qu'elle distribue. CARTON : "Un des ateliers" : la cordonnerie. Un homme est assis devant une petite table creuse qui contient le matériel, deux jeunes, assis à sa gauche travaillent avec lui. Des enfants debout derrière récupèrent leurs chaussures réparées. CARTON : "Les mécaniciens se rendent au travail" : Le jeunes, grosses vestes, béret ou casquette et écharpes entrent dans une cour en riant. CARTON : "Promenade et jeux de plage": La falaise, au sommet la petite église. Les maisons et quelques bateaux. Les enfants marchent en rang sous la surveillance d'une dame et plusieurs messieurs. Ils font des rondes face à la mer. La mer, les rochers. Texte : Depuis le 2 août 1914, l'Association des orphelins de la guerre a recueilli, sur tout le territoire, immédiatement et sans formalités, tous les orphelins de guerre en détresse. Dans ses formations familiales, elle leur a rendu une maman et un foyer. Dans ses 18 grandes colonies, elle leur assure l'éducation agricole et professionnelle qui fera d'eux, plus tard, d'utiles travailleurs pour le relèvement économique de la nation.
