COLOMB BECHAR'S parties, men of the twelfth airborne Saharan Company took part in the ARTOIS operation, in ninety kilometres in the TIMIMOUN North. Seventy-five Commandos of Air had to be released during the operation. Giving their parachutes up on the spot men joined themselves to encircle the oases. This raid was intended to show to the people which surround TIMIMOUN the constant presence of the police forces and in particular of the parachutists.

Partis de COLOMB BECHAR, les hommes de la douzième compagnie saharienne aéroportée ont participé à l'opération ARTOIS, à quatre vingt dix kilomètres au Nord de TIMIMOUN. Soixante quinze commandos de l'air devaient être lâchés au cours de l'opération. Abandonnant leurs parachutes sur place les hommes se rejoignaient pour encercler les oasis. Ce raid avait pour but de montrer aux populations qui entourent TIMIMOUN la présence constante des forces du maintien de l'ordre et en particulier des parachutistes.
