In connection with DON GIOVANNI. (Music). June 1978, the Notre Dame church of LEBANON, ULM street, in PARIS, vibrates to the MOZART accents. In the pénombre, an attentive spectator, Josef LOSEY. It prepares here the sound track of its next film performed, DON GIOVANNI. A large director penetrates the musical MOZART universe. It is at the request of Rolf LIEBERMANN, Director of the PARIS Opera that LOSEY left to the cinematographic meeting of lyric art. The film was turned to ITALY in the PALLADIO villas, the Italian architect of the Renaissance. Thus LOSEY rejects the conventions of the scenic tradition and transports the opera in a visual decoration new completion. Its dream it is to make accessible lyric art to the general public. Il prépare ici la bande sonore de son prochain film opéra, DON GIOVANNI. Un grand réalisateur pénètre l'univers musical de MOZART. C'est à la demande de Rolf LIEBERMAN, Directeur de l'Opéra de PARIS que LOSEY est parti à la rencontre cinématographique de l'art lyrique. Le film a été tourné en ITALIE dans les villas de PALLADIO, l'architecte italien de la Renaissance. Ainsi LOSEY rejette les conventions de la tradition scénique et transporte l'opéra dans un décor visuel complètement nouveau. Son rêve c'est de rendre accessible l'art lyrique au grand public.
